This is the best season for some awesome fruits in India. Phalo ka Raja Aam(Mango), melons, peaches cherries, Jamun (Indian Black berry), lichies and what not. Today I am sharing the cool drink combining sweet fat peaches and home made mint syrup.
- Peach – 3
- Lemon juice- 1 lemon
- Black salt- 1 /2 tspn
- Toasted cumin seeds – ½ tspn
- Mint syrup- 1 cup
- Peach wedge and mint sprig for garnishing
- Chilled Club Soda – ½ cup
- Ice cubes crushed 1 cup
Ingredients for Mint Syrup
- Water 1 cup for syrup
- Sugar for syrup- ½ cup
- Mint leaves – ½ cup
Method for mint syrup:
In a pan pour water, sugar and washed mint leaves. Bring to boil. Boil it for at least 10 mins so the flavor of mint is infused the water. If you find the syrup going too thick then add little water. Transfer into a glass jar and chill it in fridge.
Method for the drink:
The ingredients are for two glasses so divide it in two portions.
Peal the peaces and mash it to smooth pulp.
Take a long glass wine glass or any of your choice. Fill the base of the glass with crushed ice.
Spoon one portion of mashed peace over the ice.
Slowly Pour half of the mint syrup along with few leaves. Add half of black salt and toasted cumin seeds.
Slowly pour the chilled soda over it. Garnish with peach wedges and fresh mint.
The cool cool peach delight is ready to sip sip.
