In India, summers are very hot. It scorches almost all the parts of India with sweltering heat. Hot winds or locally called Loo sometimes dehydrates the body. So it is very important to stay hydrated and for that its important to consume ample quantity of water. So instead of gulping chilled aerated drinks, a glass of Aam Panna works great. Moreover it is best to get the tangy twist on your taste bud at the same time getting hydrated. Its easy to make, contains lot of water and great in taste. Other than hydrating benefits aam panna also fights ingestion and keeps the stomach cool even in soaring temperature.
But aam panna cannot be available instantly. It needs advance preparation. I have shared the technique in my other blog Raw Mango pulp preserve. Follow that and herein the preparation
For two glasses :
- Thick Raw mango pulp 4 tspn or 4 pulp cubes
- Black Salt ½ tspn
- Toasted Cumin,,Black pepper and Caraway seed powder.1/2 tspn
- Powdered brown/white sugar/sugar syrup 4 tblspn or sugar free. .
- Mint leaves 6, Store sprigs for garnishing.
- 1 ½ glass of chilled water.
- Ice cubes 4 or more if you want chilled.
In a blender put the mango pulp. Add sugar and and all other ingredients. Pulse it till sugar is mixed well. Add water. Pulse it again. Check the seasoning at this stage.
In the serving glass put the ice cubes and pour the liquid over it. Sprinkle the dry spice over it. Garnish with Mint leaves.
Your chilled Aam Panna is ready to gulp in.
Note: If you want only tangy version then omit sugar and increase the salt quantity.
